Lucas Andrew Hedrick

Licensed Acupuncturist

East Asian Medical Practitioner

Masters of Acupuncture

As a practitioner, I integrate Chinese Medicine along with modern functional medicine and nutrition.  I am drawn to how our food choices affect our health and how simple changes in what we eat help our body on the path to healing.  My interests also lie in the mind body connection and I will work with you on being aware of your emotional health and how it may be affecting your physical body. My own personal experience with a traumatic brain injury and with working with an auto immune disease has taught me that life is not a race, but a path to pace yourself on.

Lucas has spent a lot of time abroad, learning from different cultures and the way they approach healing and well-being. His first clinic was on a remote island in Thailand treating local villagers and fellow travelers from acute stomach bugs to life threatening illnesses.  That experience has brought him to living and practicing in a way that is inclusive to everyone regardless of insurance and ability to pay.  He is excited to be offering his services in our evening community clinic and the LGBTQ specialty clinic as well as in private practice here at Gentle Point.

Lucas Hedrick has been practicing Chinese Medicine since 2001. He is a licensed practitioner of East Asian Medicine in the state of Washington, a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California, and is certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He received his Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture from Bastyr University in 1999.  After graduation he did an externship in Shanghai and Chengdu, China where he studied pain management, women’s health, traumatology, and internal medicine.  In 2002, he completed a two year internship specializing in women’s health and fertility in one of Northern California’s premier fertility clinics.  He is currently enrolled in the doctorate program for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with an emphasis in pain management and sports medicine at Bastyr University.
